Price Panel Cites Currency in Raising Harvester Price to $CA 5.38 for Newfoundland Snow Crab

The Newfoundland price setting panel published its decision in favor of the FFAW last week.  The arbitration process calls for the panel to select between two offers without modification.  The Associated Seafood Producers offered a price of $4.95, very similar to the $4.90 price agreed on last year.

The FFAW sought a price of $5.38, which was granted.   This is effectively a 10% increase in the harvester price.
